Our Native American flutes are made in several styles, all tuned to Pentatonic Mode 1 scale. They are available with open or closed mouth pieces, and with or without nest plates. We use a wide variety of woods, primarily curly maple, rosewood, cedar, ebony, walnut and cherry. Price range: $60 - $150.
Totem nest plates can be added to any Native American flute.
Drone flutes are double bored with the drone tone the same as the base note. Interestingly, when the base notes are blown simultaneously, the resulting ‘circular’ vibration provides an added tonal depth.
